Proposition: In 1 John 2:15-17, there are 1 command and 2 truths to warn you and to help you to wage war against worldliness.

  1. Command: Do not love the world (v. 15a)

  2. Truth #1: The love of the world and the love of the Father are enemies (vv. 15b-16)

  3. Truth #: The ways of the world and the ways of the Father have different destinations (v. 17)
