Do Not Cause Another to Stumble (Romans 14:13-23)

Sermon Notes

Proposition: Romans 14:13-23 presents six principles to govern us in building up one another without offending.

  1. Don’t let your freedom cause your brother to stumble. (v. 13)

  2. Don’t be insensitive to the weaker brother’s conscience. (v. 14-15a)

  3. Don’t destroy your brother with your freedom. (v. 15b)

  4. Don’t let your freedom ruin your witness. (v. 16-18)

  5. Don’t let your freedom destroy the work of God. (v. 19-21)

  6. Don’t denounce the freedom you have with God. (v. 22-23)
