Foundational Commitments of Faithful Christians (Philippians 2:19-24)

Proposition: In Philippians 2:19-24, Paul and Timothy exemplify two foundational commitments of faithful Christians that we must have, so that we will be like-minded, united, and joyfully advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ together. 

  1. Faithful Christians genuinely seek the well-being of the local church of Jesus Christ (2:19-21, 23-24) 
  2. Faithful Christians humbly serve alongside the local church to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ (2:22, 19-24)
