Hope of the Ages: The Coming King and His Glorious Kingdom (Isaiah 11:1-10)

Main idea: In Isaiah 11:1-10, we see who the hope of the ages is and what he will bring so that our hearts may overflow with joy and hope this advent season in the gift of Jesus Christ.
Who is coming?
a. One who is the Promised King (vv. 11:1, 9:7)
b. One who is the Offspring of Jesse (v.1)
c. One who is uniquely anointed by the Holy Spirit (vv. 2-3)
What will he bring?
a. He will bring justice (vv. 3-5)
b. He will bring peace (vv. 6-9)
c. He will bring worldwide knowledge of the LORD (v. 10)
If Jesus is Messiah and he came, where is worldwide justice, peace, and knowledge of God?
