Instructions for Life Outside the Garden (Genesis 4:1-8)

Main Idea: In Genesis 4:1-8, we see three basic instructions for our lives so that we will please God and do good outside the garden.

1. Keep your hope strong (vv.1-2)

2. Keep your heart soft (vv. 3-8)

   a. Worship with integrity (vv.3-5)

   b. Listen responsively (v.6)

   c. Subdue sin intentionally (vv. 6-8)

3. Keep your head straight (v. 8)

   a. Endure enmity

   b. Be prepared to die

   c. Be prepared to rise
