pastor geoff alfassa

Geoff Alfassa loves Jesus Christ because Jesus saved him from his sins and reconciled him to God! He is one of the Pastors at Redeemed South Bay in Torrance, CA, and considers it a great privilege to partner with the work God is doing in Southern California by teaching people to love God and make disciples. He passionately pursues encouraging people to live their lives focused on Jesus’ Great Commission. He has lead and been involved on short-term mission trips to Mexico (2006, 2007), Malawi (2007), Nicaragua (2008), Western China (2009), Eastern China (2010), Albania (2015), and Cambodia (2016 & 2017).

Geoff and five other pastors started Redeemed South Bay in November 2013. Before this, Geoff served three years as an Associate Pastor at Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach, and has been involved in serving students in Southern California since 2007. Geoff is married to a wonderful woman named Joanna. They were married in June 2011, and have since been blessed with four children: Elias (2012), Adeline (2014), Elisabeth Jo (2016), and Abraham (2020).

Geoff’s hobbies include theological studies, spoken word, playing sports: ping pong, football, basketball, hockey, and tennis. Geoff grew up in El Segundo CA, graduated from El Segundo High School, spent two years at Santa Monica Community College, transferred to Biola University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2011, and most recently completed his Masters of Divinity from The Master's Seminary in 2019. He loves his church family at Redeemed South Bay dearly and considers it a great joy and honor to be a part their local and global ministry of the gospel.

“...in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”
